Supporting meaningful learning through rigorous Humanities and Social Sciences enrichment
INDEPENDENT THINKING, INFORMED LEARNING
Inquisitas works with leading schools and ambitious students aged 16+ to cultivate intellectual confidence, independent inquiry, and deep engagement with ideas that shape how we understand the world. Guided by expert tutors from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, our programmes offer rigorous, research-led enrichment in the Humanities and Social Sciences.
We champion the disciplines that help students understand the world - its cultures, histories, ideas, and systems - and develop the clarity, confidence, and academic purpose needed to thrive beyond the classroom.
Whether you’re a student ready to take on new intellectual challenges, or a parent or educator seeking meaningful academic development, Inquisitas offers structured mentorship and university-style learning experiences designed to stretch thinking and deepen understanding.
-
Our students are growing up in a world that is more connected, more complex, and more uncertain than ever before. In this context, the research, critical thinking, and communication skills developed through the Humanities and Social Sciences are not optional extras - they are essential.
Yet students with strong interests in these disciplines often have fewer opportunities for structured, high-level enrichment than their peers in STEM. Inquisitas was founded to address that imbalance. We are committed to supporting the next generation of thinkers, speakers, writers and innovators, empowering curiosity and inspiring ambitious and confident academic journeys.
We provide rigorous, research-led enrichment in the Humanities and Social Sciences, designed to help students go beyond the curriculum and engage seriously with ideas, methods, and questions that shape how we understand the world.
Across our programmes, students are supported to:
Engage with university-level ideas in subjects such as History, Philosophy, Politics, Literature, and related disciplines
Develop intellectual confidence through structured discussion, writing, and academic dialogue, learning directly from expert academics at the forefront of their fields
Build independent research and critical thinking skills, guided by expert tutors from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge
Experience academic life as it is practised at university, not simply as it is examined at school
Whether students are undertaking an independent research project, participating in a lecture series, or contributing to an academic conference, every Inquisitas experience is designed to stretch thinking, deepen understanding, and cultivate a lasting love of learning.
-
Each Inquisitas programme is designed around a small number of core principles that support academic stretch, intellectual confidence, and long-term development.
Cultivating curiosity and academic purpose
Meaningful learning starts with curiosity. Inquisitas helps students go beyond the syllabus to explore questions and ideas that genuinely interest them, often discovering new academic passions along the way.
Preparing students for university-level thinking
Students are introduced to the kinds of skills and habits expected at leading universities: independent research, analytical writing, structured discussion, and academic dialogue. Guidance from our Oxbridge tutors helps demystify university-level study and offers an insight into the vibrant and forward-thinking world of humanities and social sciences research.
Building confidence through challenge
Our programmes support students to engage with demanding material, articulate their ideas clearly, and participate confidently in academic conversations, developing intellectual independence and creativity as well as subject knowledge.
Supporting strong university applications
Top universities value evidence of genuine academic engagement. Inquisitas programmes enable students to demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and depth through super-curricular exploration and original work.
Developing globally aware, thoughtful learners
Students are encouraged to situate their interests within wider cultural, historical, and ethical contexts, building perspective, adaptability, and a sense of intellectual responsibility, ready to make meaningful contributions wherever their path takes them.

Across five weeks, students engage in weekly online sessions exploring a subject in depth. Led by Oxbridge researchers, these lectures introduce cutting-edge research, big ideas, and interdisciplinary perspectives, while encouraging curiosity, lively discussion, and analytical thinking.Academic Conference Days
Held during school holidays, these immersive online conferences offer a full day of talks, panels, and discussion presenting interdisciplinary approaches focused on a specific theme. Students experience university-style learning, explore new interests, and engage directly with expert academics who are working at the forefront of policy and development tackling real world challenges. -
